shiddat-e-zat ne ye haal banaya apna
shiddat-e-zat ne ye haal banaya apna 
jism-e-majnun mein hua tang shaloka apna 
yar banta nahin wo nur ka putla apna 
KHak mein mil gaya tasKHir ka dawa apna 
mai-kashon mein na koi mujh sa namazi hoga 
dar-e-mai-KHana pe bichhta hai musalla apna 
wasl ki raat bahut tul hua aaKHir-kar 
muKHtasar ye hai ki faisal hua qissa apna 
gul khila kar abhi bulbul ko jalaun kya kya 
wo inayat karen gar por ka chhalla apna 
rabbi-areni ki sada ho bhi to but bol uThen 
aap dikhlaen agar dair mein jalwa apna 
aaina-KHana mein chal baiThiye do-chaar ghaDi

dair apna hai na kaba na kalisa apna 
hai wahi sar wahi sauda wahi josh-e-wahshat 
wasl tabdil hui rang na badla apna 
un ki zulfon ko ye dawa hai ki hum kale hain 
hum ne bachte nahin dekha kabhi mara apna
